As I sit here on the park bench, my eyes
gazed around the beautiful scenes,
that gave my heart a gentle nudge
to clamor for happiness that was once simple.
Children sundry, were here busy with their sports
that can be only understood by mind innocent,
youth over there blushing like fresh blooms
at the sight of damsels giggling in merry froth.
On my right, I find an old wise person
reading the invisible ink amidst the rising sun,
and mother fretting with love over her apple
wrapped in blue gown and her tender love.
Ah! What more can I fathom that moment,
a chunk from heaven that fell on land mundane,
How I wish to stay in that happy abode
like a carving on an urn that stays forever put.
Alas! muscles aren't supple till judgement day,
Shelly left into the womb of dreary waters.
O the nimble toiler who makes night and day
divulge in me the reason of your sorrowful ways.
Heaven you place for a moment, in hand
only to asunder again with your ruthless sword.
Yet, I shall light this moment in my memory
that lights my path thro' winter nights many.
