O Elusive lover! who had risen me from dead,
thou left me alone in this binding forest
of invisible sorrow and unwonted mirth.
Where do I search for your benign smile and nod?
I looked at the stars that twinkle merrily
unscathed by any loss one suffer's below.
Shall I seek your young grin in their mockery
on this sorrowful lover, crying in their glow?
O trees tall and wise! heed my pitiful plight,
look with bright eyes yonder for purpose mine,
as these brown eyes are filled with tears moist.
Do you see the unbridled form of my joyful love?
Up above,I can see the moon once content,
under which we basked as merry lovers
unaware of other world, silly and transient.
Now alone I lie under the moon morbid
waiting for thy laugh of utter happiness.
O lord eternal and wise! take me back there
where I can listen to melodies of his flute
caressing my heart marred by fears dark.
Let me fly to those times, like a free lark.
.
P.S.
Sought him I everywhere in wild forest
until, I heard him in recesses of my heart.
"My Love! none can asunder us for long,
for I am the melody and you the song."
